Alabama Association of Violence Intervention Programs
The Alabama Association of Violence Intervention Programs was founded in 1997 as a Non-Profit, 501(c)3 organization for the following
· To maintain and improve the quality of intervention programs for perpetrators
of violence in Alabama
· To help establish intervention programs for adults and adolescents
within the state where none currently exist
· To provide education, mutual feedback,
and the enhancement of working relationships among agencies
· To reduce violence and
assist Alabama in establishing and maintaining standards statewide, based on the predominant findings of current research.
We present this site to inform the public about our Association, opportunities for training pertinent to domestic violence perpetrator
intervention, the Alabama Standards for programs providing perpetrator intervention, as well as other material that may from time
to time benefit those who have an interest in ending violence against women.
